These Terms govern your use of the SpareCoin website, apps and network (“SpareCoin”, “we”, “us”). By creating an account or running the SpareCoin app you agree to them. If you do not agree, do not use SpareCoin.
1. What SpareCoin does
SpareCoin is a bandwidth-sharing network. When you install our app and tap Connect, our software routes internet traffic through your device and its IP address. That traffic is public web scraping performed on behalf of SpareCoin's customers: retrieving publicly available web pages and data (for example product listings, articles and search results) that is used to build datasets for AI and large language models. SpareCoin controls what traffic is routed. Traffic only flows while the app's background service is running and connected.
2. Your consent
- You confirm you are at least 18 and are permitted to share the internet connection you use with SpareCoin.
- You consent to SpareCoin routing scraping traffic through your device and IP address while you are connected.
- You can disconnect at any time from the app. Disconnecting stops traffic immediately and stops uptime earnings.
- You must not use SpareCoin on devices or networks you do not own or control, or where bandwidth sharing is prohibited (for example many employer and school networks).
3. Points
SpareCoin issues points for activity on the network. During Phase 1 (“building the herd”) points are earned for staying connected, for stability and for referrals. In Phase 2 points will additionally be earned per gigabyte of traffic at a demand-based rate that varies by country and over time.
- Signup bonus: 15 points when you create an account.
- Uptime: 10 points per hour your device is connected with working internet, pro-rated by the minute.
- Per-GB earnings (Phase 2): the points-per-GB rate for your detected country at the time traffic is routed. Rates change with customer demand and are shown as estimates.
- Stability: devices with unstable connections may be deprioritised and receive little or no traffic, even in high-rate countries.
Points have no cash value until Phase 2 launches. We do not promise any particular conversion rate, timing or payout amount. Points are not currency, securities or property, and cannot be transferred or sold.
4. The 7-day activity rule and redistribution
You must open the SpareCoin app or your web dashboard at least once every 7 days. Simply being connected in the background does not count. If you do not open the app for 7 consecutive days, your entire point balance is wiped and the wiped points are redistributed to the 100 highest-balance accounts on SpareCoin, weighted by rank. We send an in-app warning and a notification on day 5 and day 6. Opening the app resets the clock. Wipes are final and cannot be reversed.
5. Referral program
- Each account has a unique referral link. When someone signs up through it you receive 10 points.
- When that person accumulates 72 hours of connected uptime you receive 100 points (tier 1).
- When someone they referred reaches 72 hours you receive 50 points (tier 2); one further level down, 25 points (tier 3).
- Self-referrals, duplicate accounts, emulators, and referral farming are prohibited and result in forfeiture of points and account termination.
6. Social proof bonus
You may earn a one-time bonus of 500 points by publicly posting about SpareCoin on a social platform and submitting the post link together with a screenshot showing at least 1,000 likes or 1,000 views. Submissions are reviewed manually. We may reject submissions that are fake, edited, duplicated, misleading, or that violate the platform's rules. One bonus per account.
7. Payouts (Phase 2)
When cash redemption launches you will be able to request conversion of points to cryptocurrency (USDT, USDC or BTC) sent to a wallet address you provide. You are responsible for the accuracy of your wallet address and network selection; transactions sent to an incorrect address cannot be recovered. Minimum redemption thresholds, conversion rates and network fees will be published in the app before redemption is enabled. Until then the “Request payout” action is disabled.
8. Your responsibilities
- Keep your login credentials secure. You are responsible for activity on your account.
- Do not attempt to spoof location, uptime, traffic or stability, or to interfere with the app or SDK.
- Do not run SpareCoin on more devices than you personally own and control.
9. What we may do
We may change point values, rates, bonuses, the activity rule and program terms at any time; changes apply going forward and are announced in the app. We may suspend or terminate accounts that breach these Terms and forfeit their points. We may pause the network, or traffic to any country, at our discretion.
10. Disclaimers and liability
SpareCoin is provided “as is”. We do not guarantee earnings, uptime, availability of traffic in your country, or that Phase 2 will launch on any date. To the maximum extent permitted by law, SpareCoin is not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential losses, and our total liability is limited to the value of points redeemed by you in the 3 months before a claim.
